Description

Horn Solutions has partnered with a fast-growing blockchain technology company to bring on a Software Test Automation Engineer. From day one, youll be rolling up your sleeves & joining a team of engineers to extend their blockchain-as-a-service platform. Their core offering is a set of REST APIs & SDKs designed for developers to add blockchain capabilities to their applications.  

Youll be working with Linux, Python, pytest, Selenium, Locust, Postgres, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes & CircleCI, hosted primarily on Google Cloud Platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES --

  • Develop & implement test automation plan
  • Maintain a pytest/selenium automation framework
  • Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the technical architecture
  • Drive the creation of global test plans & test cases
  • Review user interfaces for conformity & functionality
  • Find, isolate, document, regress & track bugs through resolution
  • Interpret & report testing results, & be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process

MUST HAVE BACKGROUND --

  • BS in Computer Science (or relevant equivalent)
  • Ability to own the test automation process
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer-centric with a deep understanding of what would benefit users most
  • Propensity to iterate on products in weekly cycles; a bias for action
  • A positive entrepreneurial outlook with the ability to be flexible in a changing environment
  • A passion for embedding quality in continuous integration pipelines
  • Able to handle ambiguity
  • Highly collaborative; ability to work successfully across teams
  • Logical and strong problem-solving skills

MUST HAVE SKILLS --

  • 3+ years of test automation experience designing, building & maintaining automation frameworks
  • 2+ years of strong working knowledge with Python & pytest
  • Demonstrated ability to draft test strategies & plans
  • Proficient with databases & scripting languages
  • Experience with Agile development processes

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS --

  • Experience in a startup environment
